While books and official news outlets are obviously a great source of information, for my day to day research and learning I am eternally grateful to the other bloggers out there who challenge, inspire, educate, and entertain me. Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order!):
- The Lunch Tray
- Red, Round, or Green
- Spoonfed
- Vintage Savoir Faire
- Crunchy Betty
- smitten kitchen
- Food Politics
- Appetite for Profit
- It’s Not About Nutrition
- 100 Days of Real Food
- Karen Le Billon
- Mark Bittman (and his NY Times blog)
- Crappy Pictures (if you are a parent, you MUST visit this blog!)
Another one of my favorite websites is the Environmental Working Group, which does independent research on the chemicals and additives in our lives. Their most famous report is the “Dirty Dozen” which ranks produce by pesticide residue, but I also rely on the EWG for information on the safest sunscreens and other personal care products.
